Viesturs “Vee” Kalnins is a primarily self-taught artist currently absorbed in creating large multimedia sculptures using welded steel, cement, found objects, and stone. His sculptures are created in all sizes for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment.

Vee’s primary focus is just to have fun, experiment, and to hopefully make people smile in the process.
His multimedia sculptures sometimes reflect his previous careers as a retired Surgical Registered Nurse First Assistant and Master Electrician by using elements of these trades in his artwork.
Vee’s multimedia works and photography have been accepted and displayed in numerous art competitions including the Carnegie Center for the Arts in Three Rivers, MI, Kellogg Community College sculpture installations at campus locations in Battle Creek and Coldwater, MI, the Battle Creek Art Center, and most notably his “Big Paddle Waterwheel” Sculpture at Ketchum Park in Marshall, MI. Vee also has several sculptures on display throughout Marshall, MI such as at Carver Park and around the traffic circle at Marshall’s Brooks Memorial Fountain.
